Mike my instructor is right down the road from me at a small shop that has been there for 40 years. He has guitars in various states hanging from his ceiling. One day I asked about this really old, beat up, hollow body Gibson ES 125. It was bare wood except for the neck. Mike told me that for some reason it was taken out of production. A reject. I asked if he would part with it and after some negotiation build #3 was on its way.
At this time, Mike is my electrician, and without him the guitars would not play. He also double checks the set up. I had a great time working on this project and the guitar sounds great. You don’t even have to plug it in, but that’s no fun.
